Fatal Liberal train accident death of Adam and Deanna Flores – Obituary
Authorities have reported that a man and woman tragically lost their lives on Sunday when they were struck by a train in southwest Kansas. The victims, identified as Adam Flores, 61, and Deanna Flores, 42, both from Bangor, Maine, were attempting to cross the railroad tracks in Liberal while Deanna was in a wheelchair. The Kansas Highway Patrol indicated that Adam was pushing Deanna across the tracks when the warning signals were active and the crossing arms were down.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:05 p.m., and both victims were pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. Liberal, located about a three-and-a-half-hour drive southwest of Wichita, has a population of around 19,274 and is situated near the Kansas-Oklahoma border.
