William Boggs dies in fatal Bedford shooting
Fatal Bedford shooting death of William Boggs – Obituary.
A shooting incident in Bedford, Indiana, claimed the life of 27-year-old William Boggs on Monday evening, according to local police.
The Bedford Police Department received a 911 call around 6 p.m. reporting the shooting at a residence located in the 700 block of I Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Boggs in a bathroom suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly thereafter.
Witnesses helped law enforcement identify 34-year-old Adam Machida as the suspect in the shooting. A vehicle matching Machida’s description was later seen heading east on U.S. 50. With assistance from the Brownstown Police Department, an Indiana State Police detective performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and confirmed that Machida was the driver. Authorities also reported finding a firearm inside Machida’s vehicle, which they believe was used in the shooting. Machida was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
