Cleveland authorities are investigating the murder of 18-year-old Tamer Almadi, who was killed while working at a clothing store in the Fairfax neighborhood on Monday morning. The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner confirmed Almadi’s identity after the tragic incident.
Almadi was employed at Elite Clothing 216, located in the 7900 block of Euclid Avenue. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area around 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered Almadi along with two other individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Almadi was shot three times in the chest and was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital. A 38-year-old male, who also worked at the store, suffered injuries to his right ankle and buttock but is currently in stable condition. His name has not been disclosed.
One of the gunshot victims was identified as 23-year-old Marquell Flemings, who is considered a suspect in the shooting. Flemings is also in stable condition at the hospital. Additionally, police reported that Flemings’ 26-year-old brother, Marvin, has been charged in connection with the shooting after arriving at a local hospital for treatment of his own gunshot wound, which he received during the same incident. Police noted that Marvin had taken Almadi’s gun.
This investigation continues as Cleveland police seek to understand the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
