Authorities have confirmed the identity of a man who lost his life in a shooting incident outside a dispensary in the Hyde Park neighborhood, which also left a woman injured. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the shooting occurred around 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday in the 2800 block of West Florence Avenue.
Christian Avenido, a 34-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner. Meanwhile, a woman in her late 40s was transported to a local hospital, where she is currently in stable condition, according to police reports.
The police also apprehended a suspect, described as approximately 60 years old. His identity has not yet been disclosed. Authorities noted that the incident stemmed from a dispute involving the three individuals outside the dispensary when the suspect opened fire.
