The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of a man who lost his life following a confrontation that occurred on Friday, September 27. Authorities report that 43-year-old Billy Sanders was engaged in a dispute at his residence located in the 3900 block of Merwin Street. During the altercation, he sustained a blow to the head and subsequently collapsed.
Sanders was transported to Ochsner LSU Health, where he succumbed to his injuries at 1:31 p.m. on Sunday, September 29. The Shreveport police department is currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
