Fatal Heber crash death of Norma A. Jones – Obituary.
A tragic accident on U.S. 40 resulted in the deaths of 35-year-old Norma A. Jones and her 3-year-old daughter on October 1. The Utah Highway Patrol reported that Jones, a resident of Duchesne, was driving a Volkswagen sedan when she crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Dodge Ram truck near Daniels Summit, approximately 17 miles southeast of Heber. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, and her daughter, who was also from Duchesne, has not yet been publicly identified. Additionally, Jones’ two sons were in the vehicle and were transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. None of the occupants in the Volkswagen were wearing seatbelts. The two men in the truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized.
