A man who had been reported missing was discovered deceased following a motorcycle accident in Chippewa Falls. Authorities received a request for a welfare check on 45-year-old Matthew Harshman on October 1 after he had not been seen since the evening of September 29. On October 2, officers found evidence of a motorcycle crash in a wooded area near East Park Avenue. Harshman was identified at the scene and pronounced dead. Investigators determined that speed was a contributing factor in the accident.
