A tragic accident occurred on Route 309 in Heidelberg Township, Lehigh County, resulting in the death of Raquel M. Perez, a 26-year-old resident of Wilson Borough. The incident took place in the 5000 block at 3:38 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, as her vehicle veered off the road and collided with a tree, according to the Lehigh County coroner’s office.
Despite being rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Perez succumbed to multiple traumatic injuries. Pennsylvania State Police Troop M, based in Bethlehem, is investigating the crash, which marks the third fatal incident in Lehigh County within the week.
Earlier that day, at approximately 5:20 a.m., police responded to a motorcycle accident on Route 100 where 57-year-old Donald Guldin of Lower Macungie died after hitting a deer. Additionally, another motorcyclist, 64-year-old Frederick Brauchle III from Heidelberg Township, lost his life in a similar accident involving a deer earlier on Tuesday.
