Fatal Wandsworth Road stabbing death of Dontae McLaren – Obituary
Dontae McLaren, 24, was tragically killed in a knife fight on Wandsworth Road in south-west London. The incident, which occurred early Sunday morning, also left two other men in their twenties injured.
Emergency services, including paramedics and an air ambulance, rushed to the scene after reports of a large group fighting with knives around 4 a.m. Despite their efforts, McLaren was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is receiving support from specialist officers, and a post-mortem was scheduled for later in the week.
The two other men involved were taken to the hospital. One sustained injuries that were not life-threatening, while the other remained hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Two suspects have been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 26-year-old man was taken into custody on Tuesday, while a 24-year-old man was arrested on Sunday and later released on bail.
