A tragic incident occurred in Greenville County, where 50-year-old Rodardric Dawkins was fatally stabbed early Sunday morning. Deputies from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports on Sulphur Springs Road shortly after 1:00 a.m. and discovered Dawkins with a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities arrested Raymond McMichael Jr., also 50 years old, in connection with the murder. According to the sheriff’s office, McMichael and Dawkins had been involved in an altercation that escalated into the fatal incident.
Following the altercation, McMichael Jr. was taken into custody and transported to the Greenville County Detention Center, where he is awaiting a bond hearing on charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. The investigation is ongoing as officials work to gather more details surrounding the case.
