Craig Trujillo dies in fatal Cajon Pass crash
Fatal Cajon Pass crash death of Craig Trujillo – Obituary.
A tragic accident occurred on Wednesday along the southbound 15 Freeway at the Cajon Pass, resulting in the death of 27-year-old Craig Trujillo from Hesperia. The incident took place around 11 a.m., just north of Highway 138, according to records from the San Bernardino County coroner’s office.
Trujillo was driving his Toyota pickup truck when he reportedly lost control for unknown reasons and veered left towards the guardrail, as stated by the California Highway Patrol. The vehicle then went over the guardrail, overturned several times, and ejected Trujillo from the truck. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Due to the investigation and the need for guardrail repairs, two lanes of the southbound freeway remained closed for several hours. The investigation is still active, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the CHP’s San Bernardino Area Office at (909) 383-4247.
