Authorities have released the name of the man who tragically lost his life after being struck by a car earlier this week. Frederick Benjamin, a 59-year-old resident of Boise, succumbed to traumatic blunt force injuries on Wednesday morning at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, according to the Ada County Coroner’s Office.
The incident occurred around 10:19 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of Northwest 16th Street and Allen Avenue in Fruitland. Benjamin was reportedly walking in the travel lane when he was hit by a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander, as stated by Idaho State Police.
The manner of Benjamin’s death is currently listed as pending as the investigation continues.
