Authorities are investigating the deaths of two teenage women, Novely Rivers and Abigail Olson, both aged 18, who were discovered deceased in a residence in Hooper Bay, Alaska. The bodies were found early Wednesday morning, around 5:30 a.m., in this remote Western Alaska village, located approximately 147 miles northwest of Bethel.
Alaska State Troopers have reported that the deaths are being treated as a potential homicide. Patrol Troopers, alongside investigators from the Alaska Bureau of Investigation, traveled from Bethel to Hooper Bay to examine the scene of the incident.
Currently, no suspects have been identified, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the situation to contact them at 907-543-2294 or to submit anonymous tips through the AKTips smartphone app or the Department of Public Safety crime tip website.
