Fatal San Diego crash death of Jose Angel Ruan Lopez – Obituary
Jose Angel Ruan Lopez, a 20-year-old motorcyclist, was tragically killed in a collision earlier this week in Otay Mesa. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office reported that he died on Enrico Fermi Drive, northbound, just north of Otay Mesa Road.
The incident occurred on Monday around 4:40 a.m., when Ruan Lopez, riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, struck a yellow box truck that was disabled and parked along the east curb, as noted by the California Highway Patrol. He was ejected from his motorcycle, sustaining severe injuries, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities closed Enrico Fermi Drive northbound to conduct their investigation. Witnesses to the crash are encouraged to contact the CHP San Diego Area at 858-293-6000.
