Echo Suy dies in fatal Columbus car crash
Fatal Columbus car crash death of Echo Suy – Obituary.
Echo Suy, 36, from Columbus, was tragically killed in a two-vehicle accident near Columbus on Wednesday morning. The crash occurred at 7:35 a.m. at the intersection of E. 83rd Street and E. 14th Avenue when Suy’s 2018 Chevy Malibu was struck on the driver’s side by a 2012 Buick Enclave traveling westbound.
Both vehicles ended up in a nearby field, with the Enclave catching fire. Two minors from the Enclave were safely outside the vehicle when officers arrived. Columbus Fire and Rescue extricated Suy from the wreckage, but despite efforts, she was pronounced dead at Columbus Community Hospital. The minors involved only suffered minor injuries.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that alcohol was not involved, and the investigation revealed that Suy was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact them.
