Fatal Montgomery shooting death of Marquet Caldwell – Obituary
A teenager is currently being held without bond on charges of capital murder and other offenses related to the shooting of a 16-year-old boy in Montgomery this past summer, which also left another teen injured, according to police reports released on Thursday. Marquet Caldwell, 19, was arrested on Tuesday by the Montgomery Police Department in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Task Force, as stated by Maj. Saba Coleman.
Caldwell has been identified as the primary suspect in the incident that occurred on July 24, which involved a shooting near Hilldale Drive. The identity of the deceased 16-year-old victim has not been disclosed to the public.
In connection with the shooting, Montgomery police have charged Caldwell with two counts of capital murder and one count of attempted murder.
