In a tragic incident that took place in Hyderabad, an elderly couple was discovered murdered at their residence in Amberpet on Saturday morning, October 19. Authorities believe the crime occurred approximately three days prior to the discovery.
The victims have been named as Linga Reddy, a retired bank employee, and his wife, Urmila Devi. Initial investigations reveal that Urmila sustained blunt force trauma to her head and was found without four gold bangles. A rubber cord was also discovered around their necks, suggesting strangulation may have contributed to their deaths.
Police suspect that the assailants, who remain unidentified, initially intended to commit theft. However, upon confronting the couple, a struggle ensued, resulting in their tragic deaths.
A case has been filed, and law enforcement is currently analyzing CCTV footage from the area in an effort to identify those responsible. Investigations are still ongoing.
