Fatal Midland drive-by shooting death of Savanna Callaway – Obituary
Savanna Callaway, 22, was tragically shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in Midland, Texas, according to authorities. Midland Police responded to a call about gunshots in the 100 block of Howard Drive, where they found Callaway in the driver’s seat of a black 2022 Dodge Durango with fatal gunshot wounds.
Court documents reveal that Ivan Blake Galindo and Joe-Daniel Gutierrez have been arrested and charged with her murder. Surveillance footage helped police identify a black 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 involved in the shooting. A search of the vehicle uncovered a firearm matching the casings found at the scene.
Both Galindo and Gutierrez admitted to being present during the shooting, with Galindo driving the truck and Gutierrez firing shots at a male standing near Callaway’s car. The intended target’s condition has not been disclosed. Investigators are still searching for a third suspect involved in the incident.
The case remains under investigation.
