Jonathan Warner dies in fatal McHenry, Illinois watercraft crash
Fatal McHenry, Illinois watercraft crash death of Jonathan Warner – Obituary.
The individual who tragically lost his life in a watercraft accident on the Fox River in McHenry has been identified as 33-year-old Jonathan Warner. The incident occurred Sunday afternoon when Warner was operating a personal watercraft and reportedly collided with one of the pillars at Burtons Bridge on Route 176. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy conducted on Tuesday revealed that Warner suffered blunt force injuries to the head, which have been preliminarily identified as the cause of death; however, toxicology results are still pending.
The McHenry County Coroner’s Office is collaborating with local police and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources as they continue to investigate the accident. A second individual who was riding on a separate watercraft during the incident declined medical attention at the scene. First responders were called to the location around 2 p.m. for a water rescue and discovered Warner’s body in the river after approximately an hour of searching.
