Fatal Woonsocket crash death of Samuel Adams – Obituary.

Samuel Adams, 46, has been indicted following a tragic incident in Woonsocket where he is accused of hitting and killing another man while allegedly driving under the influence. The charges were presented in Providence Superior Court, with the most serious being DUI resulting in death. Adams entered a not guilty plea for all counts during his arraignment on Wednesday.

 

The crash occurred near the intersection of Bernon and Maple streets, claiming the life of 71-year-old Charles Bagley. Additionally, two other individuals sustained injuries in the incident.

 

Witnesses recounted the chaotic scene, describing a loud bang and the frantic efforts of emergency responders. Yvette Houle, a neighbor, recalled trying to comfort a victim and lamented the dangers of drunk driving and speeding in the area.

 

An online obituary for Bagley, affectionately known as Chuck, noted that he was a longtime resident of Arc of Blackstone Valley in Pawtucket. The tribute highlighted his social nature, love for family, and knack for remembering birthdays and sports statistics.

 

Following his arraignment, Adams posted bail but is prohibited from driving as part of his release conditions.
