The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has confirmed the identities of those killed in a tragic helicopter crash in Houston. The victims included pilot Samantha Grandbouche, along with passengers Julio Cesar Lerma III, his wife, Marie Alonso, and their young son, Dylon Lerma.
According to investigators, Grandbouche died from multiple blunt force injuries, while the other three victims sustained both multiple blunt force injuries and thermal burns. All fatalities were ruled accidental. The helicopter ride had been arranged by Lerma to fulfill a special wish for his son. Friends remember Lerma as a warm, detail-oriented person dedicated to his family.
The incident remains under review by local authorities.
