Fatal Ida County crash death of Joshua Fowler – Obituary
A tragic accident in rural Ida County has resulted in the death of 29-year-old Joshua Fowler from Holstein. The collision occurred on Wednesday night when a Freightliner semi-truck, traveling north on Carriage Avenue, slowed down to make a turn onto 230th Street, approximately four miles north of Battle Creek.
At that moment, a Chevrolet 1500, also heading north, rear-ended the grain trailer attached to the semi. Fowler, the driver of the Chevrolet, was trapped inside the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Two juvenile females were also involved in the incident; one was airlifted to a Sioux City hospital for more serious injuries, while the other was taken to a local facility for minor injuries. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
