Authorities have reported the death of a man who was struck by a vehicle while walking in Costa Mesa. The victim, identified as 55-year-old Jose Rosario Rojas Moreno, was hit shortly before 10:15 p.m. on Monday night in the vicinity of Newport and Harbor boulevards, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene and found both Moreno and the driver present. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries early Tuesday morning.
