Fatal Prescott shooting death of Ronald Evans – Obituary
The Walla Walla County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed the identity of the victim who was fatally shot in Prescott. Ronald Evans, a 41-year-old resident of Prescott, was pronounced dead at the scene after medics attempted to perform lifesaving measures.
The incident took place on October 3, 2024, around 1:30 p.m. in the 200 block of East 3rd Street following reports of a man seen with a gun and subsequent shots being fired.
Troy Rathbun, a 62-year-old Prescott resident, has been arrested and charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. He has since been booked into Walla Walla County Corrections.
