On Friday morning, a tragic accident resulted in the death of 63-year-old Michael Kinyon from Marietta. The incident occurred around 7 a.m. near the intersection of Powder Springs and Sandtown Road SW, leading to the closure of multiple lanes as authorities responded.
According to the Marietta Police Department, Kinyon was crossing Powder Springs when he was struck by a 2011 Hyundai. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
