A tragic accident occurred in Derby, Kansas, when 37-year-old Amanda Gallagher was killed after backing into a moving airplane propeller while taking photos at the Air Capital Drop Zone on Saturday afternoon. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m., as Gallagher was photographing individuals boarding and disembarking from planes.
Emergency services found her unresponsive at the scene, and she was transported to a local hospital in extremely critical condition, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Gallagher’s family has initiated a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funeral expenses.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, but initial reports suggest it was accidental.
