Jarawn E. Jones-Wilson dies in fatal Ferguson motorcycle crash
Fatal Ferguson motorcycle crash death of Jarawn E. Jones-Wilson – Obituary
Jarawn E. Jones-Wilson, a 23-year-old man from Tarawa Terrace, North Carolina, was killed early Sunday morning in a motorcycle accident in Ferguson, Missouri. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred shortly after 3 a.m. on West Florissant Avenue, just north of Canfield Drive.
Reports indicate that a 2017 Dodge Journey, traveling northbound on West Florissant, made an unsafe U-turn across another northbound lane. This maneuver placed the vehicle directly in the path of Jones-Wilson’s 2003 Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle, leading to a collision on the Dodge’s left side. Jones-Wilson was thrown from his motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene around 3:10 a.m. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Local authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident.
