Frederick Hand, a 76-year-old resident of Prince Frederick, has been identified as the victim of a tragic crash that occurred on October 28 in Brandywine. The Prince George’s County Police Department confirmed his identity following the accident.
Authorities reported that around 12:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Cedarville Road and Dent Road, where they discovered Hand injured. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries there.
The investigation by the police revealed that Hand was driving north on Cedarville Road when his dump truck went off the roadway, crashing into several trees. The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation by the PGPD’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit.
