Israel Josaiah, a 24-year-old El Paso resident, lost his life in a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning, October 27. The crash took place around 2:45 a.m. at the intersection of Edgemere Boulevard and War Arrow Place, near Pebble Hills Elementary School in the Indian Ridge neighborhood.
According to El Paso police, Josaiah was driving a white 2012 Ford Mustang with a 19-year-old woman as a passenger, traveling southbound on War Arrow Place. Meanwhile, a 19-year-old named Isaiah Damian Jimenez, also from El Paso, was driving a white 2000 Ford F-150 westbound on Edgemere Boulevard. As Josaiah turned onto Edgemere, he reportedly failed to yield the right of way, leading to a T-bone collision with the truck. Josaiah sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
This incident marks the 56th traffic-related death in El Paso this year, with a slight decrease compared to 62 fatalities at the same point in 2023.
