Fatal Ogden hit-and-run results in the death of Stirling Kelso – Obituary

Ogden police have confirmed the identity of the victim in a hit-and-run incident that occurred Wednesday night near 700 South and Washington Boulevard. The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Stirling Kelso. Authorities apprehended the suspect, 21-year-old Christian Hernandez Palma, shortly after the crash.

 

Palma has been charged with several offenses, including hit and run for leaving the scene of the accident, driving without a valid license, and failing to maintain a safe lookout. Police responded to reports of an unconscious male found in a parking lot close to 7th Avenue and Washington Boulevard, where Kelso was working on the grounds of a car wash when he was struck by a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while Palma fled before law enforcement arrived.
