Jason Diallo dies in fatal Ilford shooting

Fatal Ilford shooting death of Jason Diallo – Obituary

Four years after a tragic shooting incident in Ilford, authorities are appealing for information to identify a man connected to the murder of Jason Diallo. The incident occurred on November 1, 2020, when police were dispatched to Balfour Road shortly after 10 p.m. in response to reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, officers discovered the lifeless body of 30-year-old Jason Diallo, who had sustained multiple injuries.

Witnesses reported that Jason was cycling when a vehicle struck him. Two individuals exited the car and shot him in the head before fleeing the scene. Just 15 minutes later, another shooting was reported about five miles away on Garvary Road, where a 27-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening and indicated that he had been pursued by three men in a vehicle that opened fire on him.

Following the incidents, an extensive investigation by Specialist Crime North led to the conviction of two men. Mushin Mohamed, 28, was sentenced to life in prison for murder and attempted murder, while Tyrelle Joseph, 24, was imprisoned for aiding an offender.

Despite these convictions, authorities are still searching for two additional suspects linked to the shootings. Detectives have now released footage of a man they wish to speak with regarding the investigation and have offered a reward of up to £20,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible for Jason Diallo’s murder.

Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen stated that the investigation continues to gain momentum, emphasizing that there is no evidence to suggest that Jason Diallo and the victim of the other shooting had any prior connections, indicating that the attack was unprovoked. Remembered as a devoted father, Jason’s family has endured a painful four years, and investigators are committed to ensuring justice is served.
