Authorities have confirmed the identity of a young man who was shot and killed in Louisville’s Russell neighborhood earlier this week. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 19-year-old Ja’Mare Postell.
Louisville Metro Police responded to a Shotspotter alert at approximately 1 a.m. on Tuesday in the 2400 block of Magazine Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered Postell with multiple gunshot wounds and determined that he was beyond help, declaring him dead at the scene.
