Topeka police have confirmed the identity of the individual involved in a recent homicide within the Little Russia neighborhood. The victim, 58-year-old Peter J. Blancas from Topeka, was discovered following a medical call on October 30 at approximately 9:15 a.m. in the 500 block of Northeast Gordon Street.
Upon arrival, officers initially responded to a medical emergency, but subsequent investigations led to the determination that Blancas had been the victim of a homicide. His death marks the 16th homicide investigation in Topeka this year.
