An unfortunate incident at the Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles has led to the death of an inmate. The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Daejon Morgan, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s office.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were alerted to an unresponsive inmate at around 7:22 p.m. on Wednesday. Emergency responders from the Los Angeles City Fire Department arrived at the facility, located at 441 Bauchet Street, and pronounced Morgan dead. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death is currently underway.
