Fatal Hopkinton multi-vehicle crash death of David Fencl – Obituary

David Fencl, a 48-year-old resident of Calvert City, Kentucky, lost his life in a tragic multi-vehicle accident late Tuesday night on the Massachusetts Turnpike. The crash, which took place around 11:40 p.m. near mile marker 105 in the westbound lanes, involved multiple vehicles.

Initial reports from the Massachusetts State Police indicated that three vehicles were involved, but Westborough Fire Chief Patrick Purcell later clarified that four vehicles— a tractor-trailer, a pickup truck, and two sedans—were part of the collision. The crash left two people trapped in their vehicles, while six people, including Fencl, were rushed to nearby hospitals. Sadly, Fencl succumbed to his injuries.
