Lauren Johnson-Lavender, a 69-year-old nurse from Mashpee, Massachusetts, tragically died on November 5, 2024, after a multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 495 in Alexandria, Virginia. Johnson-Lavender was in a Lexus SUV that was stopped in traffic when it was rear-ended by a Dodge Ram around 5:35 p.m. The impact caused a chain reaction, with the Ram becoming airborne and striking additional vehicles, including a Ford F-150, a GMC Savana, and a Nissan Rogue. Three other individuals were transported to hospitals, and charges are pending as the investigation continues.
