Ryan Quinney dies in fatal Mississippi car crash

Fatal Mississippi car crash death of Ryan Quinney – Obituary

Ryan Quinney, 20, a linebacker for Mississippi Valley State University, tragically lost his life in a car crash on November 8, 2024, in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Quinney was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a high-speed pursuit with the Mississippi Highway Patrol. The chase ended when the driver lost control, causing the car to veer off the road, hit a parked vehicle, and go airborne before flipping several times and striking a light pole. Quinney was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was rescued and airlifted to the hospital, but their condition remains unknown. Quinney, in his second season with MVSU, had played in five games this season and contributed 13 tackles. The university extended heartfelt condolences to Quinney’s family, teammates, and friends.
