Fatal Redford Township shooting death of Valentina Colban – Obituary

A man has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Valentina Colban at a Redford Township motel on Saturday, November 9. The incident occurred around 5 a.m. at the Travelers Motor Inn Motel on Telegraph Road. Upon arrival, officers found Colban suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts, she was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

The 39-year-old Detroit man, who has been charged with second-degree murder and felony firearm offenses, allegedly discharged a handgun, striking Colban. He is expected to be arraigned on Tuesday at 11 a.m.
