Thomas King, 72, of Akron, tragically passed away after a collision with a pickup truck on Friday evening, November 8. The crash occurred at the intersection of South High Street and Selle Street around 6 p.m. King was riding southbound when his motorcycle was struck by an eastbound F-150 truck. The driver of the truck, a 25-year-old man, failed to stop at the intersection, leading to the fatal accident.
King was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after. Authorities have ruled out speed and alcohol as contributing factors, and charges against the truck driver are being considered as the investigation continues.
