Angel Geib dies in fatal Portland shooting

Fatal Portland shooting death of Angel Geib – Obituary

Angel Geib, a 40-year-old woman, was fatally shot early Saturday morning, November 9, 2024, in a Northeast Portland apartment near NE 146th Avenue and Burnside. The Multnomah County Medical Examiner confirmed the cause of death was a gunshot wound. Authorities quickly apprehended Michael J. English, who was injured in the shooting and treated at a hospital. However, he managed to escape custody later that morning, sparking an extensive search that eventually led to his arrest. English now faces charges of manslaughter and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The investigation into Geib’s death is ongoing.
