John McLean dies in fatal Tucson crash
Fatal Tucson crash death of John McLean – Obituary
John McLean, a 68-year-old Arizona State Senate candidate, was killed in a crash on the morning of November 15 in east Tucson. McLean was driving his 2019 Toyota Rav4 east on Broadway when it was struck by a 2018 Ford Explorer that failed to stop at a stop sign on North Ridgeside Drive. The crash occurred when the Explorer hit the passenger side of McLean’s vehicle. McLean was declared dead at the scene, while the driver of the other car, 27-year-old Michael Martin Creel, was not seriously injured. Creel was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and aggravated DUI, as it was determined he was impaired at the time of the crash. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
