Fatal Gig Harbor house fire death of Mary Williamson – Obituary
Mary Williamson, 77, has been identified as the woman who tragically passed away following a fire at her Gig Harbor home on Sunday. Emergency responders were called to the scene at approximately 10:57 a.m. to a fire at a residence on 140th Avenue Northwest. The fire was contained by 11:28 a.m. and fully extinguished by 12:39 p.m.
Williamson was found critically injured and later died from her injuries. The cause and manner of her death are still under investigation by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office, and additional tests and information are being gathered. As of Thursday, the cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to Key Peninsula Fire officials.
