Fatal Cumberland County motorcycle crash death of Mangal Rai – Obituary

Mangal Rai, a 28-year-old from Shippensburg, tragically passed away on Saturday morning in a motorcycle crash. Pennsylvania State Police have confirmed his identity.

The incident took place around 6:45 a.m. on the interchange ramp between I-81 southbound and Route 581 eastbound. According to authorities, Rai failed to properly navigate a left curve in the road, causing him to veer off and strike a metal guard rail while riding his 2023 Kawasaki Ninja.

Rai was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash led to the closure of the interchange for a period of time as authorities investigated the incident.
