Siddharth Mukherjee, 38, of Humble, Texas, tragically died after being struck by a vehicle on I-10 East near Zaragoza on Sunday night, November 17, 2024. The incident occurred around 9:40 PM when Mukherjee crossed in front of a white Cadillac traveling eastbound on the highway. The driver was unable to avoid hitting him, and Mukherjee was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash is the 61st traffic fatality in El Paso this year. Authorities noted that pedestrians on the roadway contributed to the collision, and four pedestrian crashes were reported over the weekend.
