Jody Lynn Rymel dies in fatal Young County two-vehicle crash

Fatal Young County two-vehicle crash death of Jody Lynn Rymel – Obituary

Jody Lynn Rymel, 44, tragically passed away after a head-on collision on US-380 in Young County on November 16, 2024. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Rymel was driving west while a Mercedes sedan, traveling east, crossed into the westbound lane, colliding with her 2007 Mazda 3.

 

Rymel was transported to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, where she succumbed to her injuries the following day, November 17. Her 15-year-old passenger was also injured and taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center. The sedan driver sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to United Regional in Wichita Falls before being transferred to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

 

All individuals involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
