Fatal Springfield, Missouri car crash death of Jayde Campbell – Obituary
A 22-year-old woman, Jayde Campbell, tragically lost her life in a crash on November 14 near the intersection of Kellett Avenue and Talmage Street in Springfield. According to authorities, Campbell and her boyfriend were driving through the intersection when a juvenile driver, traveling south on Kellett, failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into their vehicle.
Campbell’s boyfriend, along with the two individuals in the other vehicle, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Family members shared emotional accounts of the aftermath, with Campbell’s boyfriend desperately trying to free her from the wreckage, but she was trapped. Despite her efforts to fight for her life, Campbell did not survive the crash. Her family expressed their heartbreak, noting that her brother, who was set to surprise the family with his return from the Marines for the holidays, is now coming home to mourn his sister’s tragic and unnecessary death.
The Springfield Police Department is investigating the incident, and anyone with information is urged to contact them. The juvenile driver’s case has not yet been processed in the court system.
