Fatal Eau Claire car crash death of Paul Lisiecki – Obituary
Authorities have identified 74-year-old Paul Lisiecki of Holcombe, Wisconsin, as the victim of a two-vehicle crash in Eau Claire on November 14, 2024.
The collision occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Folsom Street and North Clairemont Avenue. According to police, a truck towing a trailer loaded with railroad ties was traveling southbound on North Clairemont Avenue when an SUV attempted to make a left turn onto Folsom Street. The truck had a green light, while the SUV faced a flashing yellow arrow. The SUV was struck by the truck as it turned, causing the truck to veer off the road.
Officers arrived to find Lisiecki, the driver of the SUV, unconscious. He was transported to a hospital, where he later passed away. A passenger in the SUV sustained injuries and was also hospitalized.
The truck driver, a 25-year-old man from Chippewa Falls, was uninjured.
This tragic incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
