Cameron J. Fox dies in fatal High Point apartment shooting
Fatal High Point apartment shooting death of Cameron J. Fox – Obituary
On the night of November 18, Cameron J. Fox, a 36-year-old Winston-Salem resident, was fatally shot at an apartment complex on Lakecrest Avenue in High Point.
Officers from the High Point Police Department responded to the 800 block of Lakecrest Avenue at approximately 10:25 p.m. after receiving a report of an assault involving a deadly weapon. Upon arriving at the scene, police found Fox in the parking lot, where he had succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities arrested 38-year-old Robert O. Bailey of High Point at the scene and charged him with second-degree murder. He is currently being held without bond at the Guilford County Detention Center.
Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an argument between Fox and Bailey. The police department’s Violent Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate the case.
