According to the Lake Stevens Police Department, the crash occurred around 8:51 p.m. when Ashley, driving eastbound on Highway 204, ran a red light at the intersection of 91st Avenue NE. His Honda sedan collided with a light pole, and Ashley was declared dead at the scene.
