Edgar Mandujano-Lopez dies in fatal Ogle County car crash
Fatal Ogle County car crash death of Edgar Mandujano-Lopez – Obituary.
A Rochelle man, Edgar Mandujano-Lopez, tragically died in a three-vehicle accident on Illinois Route 251, south of Holcomb Road, on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at around 11:04 p.m.
Mandujano-Lopez, 19, was driving a southbound Nissan Maxima when it collided with a northbound Subaru Outback and a Nissan Frontier. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
David Ramos, 32, of Byron, the driver of the Subaru Outback, was injured and taken to Mercy Riverside Hospital, but his injuries were not life-threatening.
The driver of the Nissan Frontier fled the scene of the crash. Authorities are continuing their investigation, with assistance from the Illinois State Police, REACT helicopter, and Rochelle Fire/EMS.
